Judging by the time this posting was made by Aimin I can only guess that he has a skin full when he wrote it. It is a terrible way to cheaply slag off a player who has done so much great work for Dublin GAA. And not always just on the playing fields either. Ray is always happy to help clubs with presenatation of medals etc.
It is also stupidly wrong of Aimin (and some others)to lay the blame solely on one person, be he a player or mentor.
Yes mistakes were made by many people. I was puzzeled by the non-appearance by Goggins and Bonner. The former has buckets of experience and would have easily had 20 minutes to offer at this level. The latter made several cameo appearances this year for the Dubs but yet when the pressure was on he was left off. Why? Was he injured? It reminded me of Dotsie last year. He played a few minutes in many games last year but when we needed him against Mayo they didnt call on him.
I was totally frustrated at the poor performnce of Bannon. 29 frees against Kerry and no Red Card? Is that a record? He seemed to forget to Tick players who has already received a Yellow Card. I wonder why? He was, IMO, so bad that I think he will get the Final.
