Posted by Janet Thank you so much for your comments, we appreciate your gratitude very much. Our goal when we started to talk to families was to hopefully save another family from the heart ache of having to make a decision without the imput of the donor. It has meant a lot to us to spread the word of organ donation, and at the same time be able to keep Joe's memory alive. When Joe became Senior Patrol Leader of his scout troop at the age of 13, I was so impressed that the boys of his troop thought that much of him, and it was not until after his death that I found out that when he was nominated for the position that his scout master asked him why he wanted the job. Most of the kids would tell him that they wanted it so they could get their Eagle, because they needed a position in the troop, Joe told his Scout Master that all he wanted is to be able to make a difference. So we try to continue to make a difference also in Joe's Memory. We were at a banquet this evening for our local high school to give two scholarships in memory of Joe, and it is still very evident that Joe is still making an impact on the lives of others. My hope is that Joe has made the diffence in a few lives. I guess we will never know the extent of how much of a diffence he has made. Thanks so much for sharing with us. It means so much to us. Hugs, Janet & Dave Keller & Family
