Ladies, I do not know what to say!! I am the mom of a donor. Joe died 8 1/2 years ago, and I wish his recipients would write to us. I know that they have, I have received one letter, and as I mentioned in another response tonight, it started with sorry it has been so long since I have written, and ended with please write back soon!! It was the only letter I ever recieved, and I wrote back the very next day. So it is hard to say what happens to that letter between when you send it and if and when they ever received it. Know that we want to hear from you, I have heard very few donor families say they did not want to hear. Most of them they have to do it in their own good time. Most have died a tramatic death, sudden, and it takes time to even begin to heal. But keep sending the letters, when and if they are ready, they will let you know...but if you do not hear, it is not because they do not want to hear from you, it is just that they aren't ready to respond to them yet....give them all the time they need.
