Posted by Irene I will be writing my second letter soon as we draw closer to Erin's 1st tx anniversary. Although I would love to hear from them, I know it will be a while before they can consider writing back. There are so many things I need(want?) to know. I think that is only natural. But this can wait, because they already gave me everything I ever needed. I will continue to write to them because i feel they have a right to know how Erin is doing. Even if I never hear from them. Deanna, My daughter received a liver tx in 4/02 and I feel the same way you do. Every night before I go to sleep I pray that Jesus hold that little angel in His arms and that he gives the family peace to get through their most horrific ordeal.
I did call the opo and was able to get the little angel's first name so at least now when I pray I can use a name.
I hope your son does well forever with his new heart!
