Dearest Traci, Thank you. Your post made me laugh. You sound like you have a wonderful family and I hope someday you contact your donor family for their sake as well as yours. It is wonderful to share your thoughts and feelings with eachother. When my son Max died in 2000, I was lucky to hear from two of his recipients here in California. I still haven't heard from his liver recipient's family. I understand she is a little girl who is doing very well. I will always wish the very best for her and hope to hear from her someday. What a great idea to adopt a donor family, I think that is wonderful. I know how desperate at times us donor's can feel to just want to talk to our recipient or any recipients, that is why I found this web-site. It has been wonderful for me and my healing and I could never forget all the wonderful people I have met here. I am not sure how you can get incontact with your donor family except to contact your local Transplant Organization through the hospital where your loved one died. They should be able to foreward a letter to the family for you. They should be able to tell you whether they recieved it or not also. Good luck and my thoughts are with you and your family. Carolyn, mommy to my angel, Max.
