My sweet little breeder-dump Scottie girl was adopted Weds. to an older couple whose last Scottie lived to 17, even with chronic liver disease. Sweet but shy, never been on a leash, by the time I left my little girl was happily trotting alongside her new daddy.

Got a call last weekend from a good Samaritan who'd found a skinny old fellow standing in the road. Worried he'd get hit, they brought him home. Discovered he's deaf as a post. Kept him overnight but unable to keep him any longer, they were desperately searching for a rescue to take him in. Vet gave them my number. (Gee thanks, Doc, are you going to discount the extensive work he needs done??)
Sweet, sweet, SWEET boy. Little stumpy tail never stops wagging. Great with other dogs - even large males, amazing considering he's still intact - great with cats, great with kids. Been lost a long time, I think, and the calluses on his elbows and hocks indicate he was living in less-than-pleasant circumstances prior to that. Finished with a course of panacur and fed 5-6 small-ish meals a day, he's already starting to fill out a little. Here's the best part - I think I might actually have a jackpot home for him, with someone who adopted a much younger dog from me about 8 months ago. If not, I've found another rescue that specializes in Boxer/Bully/Molosser types who'll take him.
He likes to sleep soft - who can blame him?
Someone loved this dog at one point, treated him gently and taught him well. He knows 'sit', 'down', comes to me when I beckon him, and holds up one paw to ask for treats. Housetrained, doesn't beg, doesn't countersurf, he's just ultra sweet and unfailingly polite. I'm head over heels in love with this old fellow. I sure wish he could tell me how he happened to get to this place in his life.
