a behavior modification program using operant conditioning. Dogs Are From Neptune gives a little more insight into dog psychology. I think they're both good books, but I think they're a little more advanced and in-depth than a lot of people want (or need). I do like McConnell, and I like Ian Dunbar. As I said, I also like Suzanne Clothier, she has a lot of articles online: http://flyingdogpress.com/content/view/18/94/ You have to register to read, but it's worth doing. And C.W. Meisterfeld is the "original" Dog Psychologist. My copy of Jellybean is dog-eared because I use it so much.
