Question on anal gland infection?

Ricky went through two courses of antibiotics to treat his. The only indication was him snarling and turning his head as if to bite me when I tried to bathe his rear end.

The vet deemed him cured.

A week later (Saturday the 4th) he was the same in the bath and yesterday, when I tried to clean his behind after a BM, he barked, snarled and turned his head as if to bite.

Is is possible for an anal gland infection to return after a week???
