Lump found on 5yr old Boxer/Staffie X

Hi, I was removing seeds from my dogs coat and came across a lump about the size of half an egg or a possibly similar to a small testicle. He had an undescended one at birth and both were removed. The lump is near the bottom of his ribs and moves about under the skin. It does not appear to be causing him pain but he is obviously curious at me prodding/pushing it around... His father (a thoroughbred Boxer) died from a Sarcoma nearly 3 years ago. The vets will not be open for another 14 hours and until then I can only hope for the best, but worry myself sick at the same time. Any advice please?
