To do the injection twice would be as expensive as just removing the eye. I've made the decision to just have the eye removed and get it over with - Since he is already blind in that eye the injection seems like it would just be cosmetic at this point. And he may still injure the cornea if he bumps into something or the cat swats at him.

The vet didn't mention a laser treatment but then we're dealing with a blind eye here.

My poor Dirkie. I can't wait for the surgery to be over with so he will be pain free. The drops to decrease the fluid production have helped but he still hits the eye on occasion and yelps.
