How many dogs do you have right now.
What's the maximum number of dogs you've ever had?
Is there an optimal pack size?
Why is that number optimal?
How much time in a day do you devote to each dog?

Here are my answers:
How many dogs do you have right now. - 2
What's the maximum number of dogs you've ever had? - 3
Is there an optimal pack size? I won't have just a single dog. 2 is fine. 3 didn't seem over the top.
Why is that number optimal? I prefer to have at least 2 dogs so they can keep each other company when I'm away. 3 seems like an optimal number so when I work one dog (at a class, show, or away from the house training) the remaining dog has company.
How much time in a day do you devote to each dog? One is in training and he gets around 1/2 to 3/4 an hour a day. The other dog is a senior and she gets frequent hugs, pats, and skritches. I "train" her about 5 minutes a day so she gets her share of training treats :o)
