a couple of times. He was a Lab/English Setter mix and had laryngeal paralysis. The cold and/or wind would bring on an episode. A couple of times over the years he had a severe enough episode that he had a seizure. I started putting a coat on him when he went out on cold days. And on really bitter or windy days, I had a home made doggy scarf to cover his snout (the toe end of a heavy sock held on with a velcro muzzle). He wasn't real crazy about the scarf, but he kept it on until he came in.
