Has anyone had experience with this? I let my pomeranian outside last night, and it was cold. The temp dropped from 10 degrees F to 1 below during the day and maybe he wasn't expecting that.
Anyway, once he got outside, he started making those choking/panting noises that make me think he has collapsing trachea and then he yelped and fell over to his side and was limp and unresponsive when I picked him up! Then he quickly came to, but was weak and shakey as I was holding him. He wasn't making the choking sounds at that point, that I can remember.
He seems back to himself now. Does fainting from lack of O2 happen with a collapsing trachea? Or doesn't it usually get to that point? He is 7 years old and never had anything like that happen. Or maybe he had something in his throat...
