And I absolutely agree with you about feeding kids and dogs - besides my dogs are Mexican Hairless dogs which I swear survived over time by being scavenging street dogs. Well, probably so did most dogs but I digress.
Got Tofi's blood work back today and the vet said it was unremarkable. He also agreed that the retching foamy bile was most likely due to her being hungry. He said to keep up with the late night feedings. Poor Tofi. Three meals a day of various kinds of human food. What ever will she do?? LOL.
BTW I made a ground turkey, summer squash, potato, carrot, egg meatloaf for Tofi tonight. It was delicious!! So I guess I'm eating dog food now. Even the cats went wild over it. It's pretty funny, when I cook now I have a an appreciative audience watching me. I feel like I'm hosting a cooking show.
Yeah the recalls - people laughed at me when they heard I was cooking for Dirk. I wasn't so eccentric when the recalls started. Who knows what's really in that stuff. So when my dogs decline to eat something I get a bit uneasy and cave.
I may try out the Honest Kitchen - that's terrific your guy is doing so well on it- kidney problems can be pretty scarey and seeing his values come down has got to feel great.
