Very interesting comments - I've fed Tofi potato with three meals now,(one serving I cooked the rat's patootie out of it and it ended up a gelatinous soup)(She is loving the change from rice to potato) and her tummy seems to be doing pretty well on it. The diarrhea has stopped and no more mucous.
She loves cottage cheese but I've found it affects her tummy - for awhile I was giving her yogurt for the bacteria and she seemed to handle that ok.
I wonder if the purified diet is palatable? It sounds a bit bland and pasty. Interesting thought though.
The human vitamin is an interesting addition - my vet actually suggested human vitamins, reduced dosage so it was Tofi sized. A couple of hard core raw food affectionatos didn't have kind words for that - they said a dog needs different ratios than humans (said my vet was an idiot but I strongly disagree. He graduated from vet school and they are running a retail store but I digress) but I understand that dogs can eat the same protein, carb, and fat mix humans eat. Seems a body will use whatever vitamins it needs from a supplement and excrete the rest - excepting large amount of fat soluble vitamins, that's not good.
This morning I fed her right at 8 hours after her bedtime meal and she didn't vomit, and so didn't have a seizure.
I hope the bloodwork shows up something we can easily fix.
Thanks again for looking this up and typing it all in for me.
(How have you been anyway?)
