Now, it is common for people to get frustrated on a puppy search because breeders often have a waiting list and Yorkies only have a couple pups a litter. It is amazing how many people give up after a week or two of looking. PATIENCE IS NEEDED. It took me over a year to get my D'Argo and there are a lot more Shelties bred a year than Yorkies. Many people fall into the pet shop or bark yard breeder who is just breeding dogs for the sake of breeding them. If you want more on why patience and willingness to wait for a good breeder or rescue is needed - go here:

especially read "What is in a Website" - new page
Next, if breeders turn you down because they fell you do not have the time for a pup RESPECT THAT AND DO NOT GET A PUP! Why? Well, many people who have this happen to race out and go to the paper or a pet store or an online ad. If you look hard enough, you will always find someone who will sell to you. THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THIS. Good breeders and rescues care seriously about where their dogs go because they want that home to be forever. It is amazing how many clients and people in general I know of who went to stores for pups after being turned away for very legitimate reasons by breeders and rescues. Then these owners got into trouble and had a lot of issues with dogs.
Sometimes the best dog is no dog at all.
