That's why we need so many questions answered, and even then we may never (over the Internet) be able to get a good enough sense of what is going on - or have any ability to affect the outcome. It may just be that Ashley's Boxer would do better in a home where she is appreciated for what she is, and that Ashley may have to wait until she is grown and out on her own to have and keep a dog the way a dog needs to be kept.
