How old is your Boxer and how long have you had her? Was there a time when she was an inside dog? Or has she been an outside dog for the entire time you have had her?
If there was a time when she was an inside dog, was there any particular situation or event that happened to cause your father to say that she needed to be an outside dog?
What kind of training has she had - either by you or by others? Would you say this training was successful or unsuccessful?
Has your father ever had dogs before -either as an adult or as a child? If so, were the dogs that he had outside dogs or inside dogs? Did he perhaps grow up in a country setting and with the expectation that animals should all be outside?
The answers to these questions will help us work towards coming up with a solution that is best for you as well as for your dog.
