Well, Foster got reserve male both shows, I have to admit there was a good sized entry. However, the judge in show #2 said he is definitely finishable, he just has to mature. Both the dogs are finishable and the general consensus ringside was Foster got robbed. Nice to hear later on. Ravyn got best female for her first Ch win in show #1. For those not familiar with UKC shows - they do two shows in one day and often a two or even three day weekend so you can finish a dog in a weekend. Connor handled Foster show 1 and 2. For best female in show 2, I let him take Ravyn as I was hoping he could get a second win in her - did not happen. Connor is also high autism spectrum - Hyperlexia - and the judges knew, just in case he got confused. (When he was about 2, I was told he would never live independantly). He did well, only had one meltdown when he learned what reserve meant - no Ch win. But he was also exhausted, hungry and once he got food in him, was better and asking about the next shows. And his meltdown's just consist of sobbing and trying to figure out why if he handled well, did he not get the win. He is trying to get around it is what the judge thinks of the dog and not him. However, the judge in show 2 had nice comments about Connor and his knowledge of ring procedure. And she did tell Connor that Foster will finish, he just has to mature more. As Connor gets better, he will learn to make Foster look even better and as Foster learns how to how more, he will make Connor look better. These pics are from the second show - I did not get great ones from Show 1 - I had a bad angle.
