most of them seem to always have to have something in their mouths, which makes sense when you think about what they are bred to do. 
As for chewing everything in sight, I haven't had a problem (we have had a couple of things nibbled on by pups, but nothing destroyed). But, then again, we have a huge mesh hamper that is over flowing with toys.
I think at least another set of classes will help. Most times it takes more than one session.
I haven't read what Karen posted yet, but she always has excellent ideas.
