Getting ready to look for a puppy, looking for info first

Hi everyone!
I've decided to add a new creature to my family, a male beagle pup to complement my six year old female beagle. I have a list of CKC reg'd breeders to potentially call and inquire with, but I want to know everything that I need to beforehand. I've learned a lot about responsible breeding from following this board for a few years, but want to know more. I'm currently reading Dr. Ian Dunbar's BEFORE YOU GET YOUR PUPPY and have a decent library of APDT-recommended books, so I'm not coming from a place of complete ignorance.
Anyhow, any links or books that you can refer me to about the breeder search would be wonderful. I want to ensure that I get my pup from the best possible source!
