She's still with us. No improvement in her condition though. I've not taken her in to see our primary vet, but will call him today. I'd wanted her to be zonked out on the pain meds and to be able to simply rest and not be stressed yet again by poking and prodding and putting her chf in overdrive.. There is little of that (rest that is) - mostly she is standing and leaning into side of crate and, she is not eating at all , but I've got her to drink water a couple of times. - Only today has she had water on her own. She does not respond to name, or touch. I got about a half of teaspoon of chicken baby (make your own joke- about chicken babys, I'm too tired) food into her and that was only by placing it between flews. Not even attempted the scripted anti inflam- as it causes gi upset and must be given with meal (no meals- she won't eat), which the shot apparently already gave her in the form of liquid plumber- so to speak. We are carrying her out to pee- every couple hours. Constantly crated the rest of the time- (she almost never goes into her crate on her own - but that is where she wants to be now- so she is. ) I'd tried placing her in day beds, on her favorite fur throws, etc- nope. It's fairly hideous- all told. (Mere hours prior to whatever ails, she was play-bowing, prancing, barking and so forth. So I don't think it's instant C, nor other major whatever- not running a temp to indicate infection, so forth.) Every so often she is yelping with pain- and by the way she gaits and carries head- cervical. She has her feet under her- though very roached and minced pie gait has the pumpkin. Just about to spoon her some baby food- then we'll call doc painless. She's had chronic back prior - but rarely. About three or four times over the course of her long lifetime. (seen ortho, specialty vets, the high tech clinic etc prior) this seems to be more of that- but much worse. Not a blown disc- imho. She could be plumb give out. (southern for too tired to sally forth and down in her back- southern for um down in her back.) We'll see. Yoots are trying to rush into her crate- especially tazer pom; combo nursemaid gene and treat hound (I've four types of food and a gerbil water tube on crate door- all untouched by Lazer; who after sixteen years deserves to be called by her real name once aboard, which is Lacey Scarlet Ruffles- since she looks like a valentine from prior century. )*G* OK- We'll update after the turkey is checked by Painless and has had her tater mashed. phew.
