The entire doll/body is made of hard plastic. The head isn't, but you knew that. Yes, Naveen (the frog) can be removed, but I don't know how. I tried to remove him so I could put better gloves on her. Since I don't have any, I stopped trying. At least she has gloves unlike the lilypad one.
