I do agree that movies nowadays are trying to stretch plots for their "epics" too long, ever since the LOTR films (which can get away with that) weve been seeing that happen, whether its iron man, king kong, transformers, batman begins (and reportedly, the dark knight is 3 HOURS!), etc. Heck, the film which helped bring back superhero films after the schumacher disasters (x-men) was only 104 minutes and that had plenty of character development and got in origin stories (well, at least rogue's) as well too. Sorry for going off on a tangent.
