I think unless you have additional evidence it is rather unlikely that a man born in 1828 married in 1848 - possible but unlikely. At this time the average age for male marriages was 24/27 and things such as holding a lease on property etc was age 21. Good luck with your research but be wary in some assumptions. For example in the case of his marriage in 1848 a possible ryder in the marriage register would be "with permission of parent" etc if he was under 21.
