William Day of Devonport, Devon

I see that your William was buried in 1835, so this might not be his will (unless 1836 is the date it was proved),and maybe a carter would not leave a will, but it might be worth getting a copy from Devon Record Office. I have done this in the past and it's not too expensive.
There is also an abstract of a will foe

Abstract of Will of William Day, Yeoman of Plymouth Dock, Devon. Proved in the Archdeaconry Court of Totnes.
September 28 1808
This can be viewed online for £3.45. It won't give much info, being an abtract, though. Perhaps his father?
