I think the big difference last season was Gary Brabin and at the later stages attacking midfielder Michael McElhatten when he was starting to get fit (too bad his career is over now). As it is we've got no better midfield than what Wright had last season, defence is as solid as ever and Daryl Clare upfront is a different class altogether. It's just the midfield that reminds me so much of the play at the end of last season, battling but no creativity or flair leading to the predictably boring long ball game. I hope there is more to Wrights game than this, the best i've seen the blues at the deva was against Liverpool and the daggers where we played slick passing football. At the moment if we haven't got the participating midfield we're going to fall into the same routine as last season, as it is I think we might make the playoffs but don't think we'll get to the playoff finals.
