Posted by Charfield Blue on 9/2/2003, 10:42 am Mark Wright has done what he knows best to turn the team around from last season and that is to shore things up at the back and make us very well organised. Away from home this works wonders where teams have to come on to us and it is up to them to break us down. This creates space for us going forward and with the likes of Clare, Sugs and Bees we have the capability to nick a goal given a few chances. However, at home where sides sit back and the crowd demand more attacking play and a little entertainment we haven't got the creativity in midfield to carve out the chances. We have so much possesion at home but it is obvious that we don't have the players who know what to do when they have that much time on the ball. Mickey Brown is the exception but, due to the fact his legs have gone, is only effective when brought on for the last 15 mins. Unfortunately, the other player at the club who would seem to fit the bill, Brodie, looks to have had a fallout with Wright and is therefore not played. This organised, defensive approach is not a criticism of Wright as he really has turned us around in a short space of time, however, I would have more respect for him if he bit the bullet and gave Brodie a run in the side (at least at home). If we sign a couple of flair players in the summer we will have a great season next year ,wether in the conf or the third!

People have lost the point somewhat this season complaining that our poor home form / great away form is due the fans getting behind the team away but not at home.
