I live in a US state that enacts a smoking ban on December seventh for virtually all public places. That has some business owners alarmed in my city because the next state is a very short trip across the river and there is no smoking ban there. The smoking ban trend will continue, but I seriously doubt that there will ever be an anti-smoking police state.
