Posted by Crista First of all let me say how great it is to see Denise's Message Board still alive and kicking. I started contributing back in '99. And I can't believe it has been that long. I have said, say now, and always will say that Denise's site is the "undisputed champ" in addressing, explaining, and promoting what has unfortunately become a very controversial and negatively viewed topic as smoking. It presented the subject with pure class, dignity, and pleasure. It was simple to understand and addressed virtually every aspect of smoking. It is a shame that it is no longer available in it's full format. The chatroom was a wonderful place to meet, greet and shoot the breeze with so many fine people. I have met and enjoyed e-mailing a number of great friends. It was the next best thing to being there. (sorry for the Bell plug). The messageboard is by far my favorite part of the Denise site. Contributors for the most part are friendly, fair and willing to answer just about any question or address any topic. I am so glad that I it is here. As far as my life, for those who I may not have become acquainted with over this time, my name is Crista. I am a wife of Carl and mother of "C.C." We live in New England. I was a late bloomer in terms of when I started smoking. I was in college and about 20 y.o. For all the years I smoked, the brand I smoked was Marlboro Lights 100's and "only 100's" or "nothing but 100's". I eventually worked in the billing office of the college I attended. I worked with several wonderful ladies most of whom were smokers. (oh those wonderful breaks!" I guess I was somewhat of a late bloomer when it came to marriage. I thought that it would not happen, then I met Carl. A wonderful hunk (of what I don't know I also thought that I would be a smoker for many more years to come, then we got the news about the soon coming of the pitter patter of little feet. (No not Carl's mother Then came "C.C.". A beautiful daughter who is the apple of our eyes. Though I am smoke free, I know that Carl sneaks a couple here and there. But it is only outside the house. So many wonderful people here at on this message board have meant so much to me. Caye - The person who probably encouraged and motivated me most when I made the decision to quit. Sista C loves ya! Jay - The person who I have probably cyberchatted the most. He offers the best cyber lights and has the best cyber smoking style I have ever experienced. ; ) Michael C. - The big daddy of them all. Always faithfully responding to all. and a hottie if I ever new one. (SSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHH.... don't tell Carl.) Yvonne - The hippest gal on site. Always something witty and nice to say. You go Girl! Angie - The most elegant of all I have met here. a neat and considerate light smoker who also encouraged me. Thanks hon! Teri R. - I would say the most exuberant of the smokers. Enjoyed her habit with pleasure and practicality. Praying that your healing hands will touch lives. Ken - The most flirtatious and charming cyber friend I have met online. Marlboro 100's soulmate. Sexy Simone - Who is unquestionably one of a kind. Always open and affirming. Love you hun. (Big Hug) Wanda - Thank you for being there for me also. I hope you all have enjoyed my company and presence here on the mb just as much as I have enjoyed yours. This is a special place. Fwee Bird will be flying again soon. But papa and baby bird need me.
