What Are You Making

just custard, a pie, a cake, a filling? Here are a couple I have more but I need to know what you are going to make.
CUSTARD CREAM FILLING
· 1/2 cup Sugar
· 1/3 cup Flour
· 3/16 teas Salt
· 2 cup Light cream
· 4 Egg yolks, beaten
· 1 tb Butter
· 1 tb Vanilla extract OR 2 tb Dark rum
Mix sugar, flour and salt. Scald cream and stir into first mixture. Pour whole mixture slowly over beaten egg yolks, beating as you pour. Cook in top of double boiler over simmering water until custard is thick and smooth. Add butter and stir to blend. Cool and add flavoring of choice. About 3 cups or enough to fill 8 cream puffs.
Egg Custard
2 eggs
2 tbsp. flour
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 tbsp. nutmeg
1 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1/4 tsp. salt
Beat eggs, add sugar and flour; beat again. Add milk, melted butter, salt
and nutmeg. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 425 degrees for 10
minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake until done. Makes 1 (8" pie.

Baked Custard
4 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. vanilla
2 c. scalded milk
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Beat eggs slightly with a fork. Stir in sugar, salt and vanilla.
Add a little of the hot milk to the egg mixture and stir. Add
remaining milk and mix well. Strain.
Pour into 1 qt. mold or 8 individual molds. Sprinkle top with
nutmeg.
Set mold or molds in a pan containing about one inch of hot water.
Bake at 350 for 50-60 mins. or until firm.
To test: run a sharp knife through center, if knife comes out clean,
then custard is done.
Serve as is, or unmold to serving dishes.
Makes 8 servings
