Thanks dukat for pointing that out. Krieg did take the Chiefs to the Championship game his first year there, only to lose to the Bills. A year later Montana took over and Krieg was sent packing to Detroit. I would also like to point out that Krieg has almost 40,000 passing yards for his career (39,101), surpassing many previous hall of fame quarterbacks in that category. And in 1983, it was not Jim Zorn who took the Seahawks to the playoffs. It was Krieg. Krieg took over midway through the 1982 season when Zorn went down with an injury. After that, Zorn fell off of the radar screen. Another note: Jim Zorn was not nearly as good as so many "so called" Seahawks fans say he was. He pales in comparison to Krieg's career accomplishments. I wish some people could get their facts straight.
