From the folks I talked to in Wash., St. last Sept. 29th, when I was in town to cover the Seahawks/Vikings game for MykWebT.V. (CHECK US OUT ON mykaussie.com!) I asked a similar Q to many Seattle fans when I sat in the stands in th 3rd & 4th qtr (after spending most of my time filming on the two teams sidelines in the 1st half. 90%
of the people I talked to basically said Jim asked to be traded after Dave took his job because he knew he wasn't going to get it back. Dave & Jim both were intelligent guys who wanted the Seahawks to get better & win the Super Bowl together, since they were so close near Z's run in Seahawktown. Later Z went to Green Bay, then Winnipeg (CFL), then QB'd
Tampa during the strike, splitting the job w/ ex-Ar.FL QB Mike Hold. Jim & Dave got along well. Also most fans thought Dave was an upgrade @ the QB position. (Not that Z was bad, of course). Again according to 'Hawk fans I talked to they got along fine.
