From everything I have been told about Dave Krieg from people that have known him is that he is a nice guy. He comes across as pretty down to earth when I have had an opportunity to read about him or listen to him in interviews over the years. Which is why it makes me wonder why a guy like this has gone through 2 divorces since leaving the game. I knew people years ago that knew both him and his first wife and I was surprised to hear a while back that they had divorced and that he had re-married and divorced again just in the last couple of years. It's too bad. But it is not unheard of with ex-pro athletes. The numbers are pretty high for divorce once they retire. The transition to a normal life after retirement can be pretty hard for alot of these former players and their families. Maybe that has been the case for him.
