1. Starkville 5-0. Has beaten two 4A D2 schools, two public, and Indianola. Best resume!
2. BGS 4-1. Had their shot to beat a D1 school but kicking was a problem.
3. Indianola 4-1. Did beat Pillow, but really no one else. Has the easiest schedule of any of the top 7 teams (maybe more). That said, look for them in the end.
4. ACCS 4-0. Team is undefeated, but has only beaten CA. Next two weeks will tell a lot!
5. Heritage 3-2. This team deserves credit for playing such a hard schedule. Doesn't get much easier down the stretch! Good team!

After seeing what ACCS did to Columbia I think you can pretty much book Bowling Green winning their district and being a top seed in AAA playoffs. I see a lot of similarities between ACCS and Bowling Green. Both have skilled athletes and fire power that is hard to contain for 4 quarters. I do believe though that ACCS has a better defense than Bowling Green. The Heritage team that loss by 1 point to Lamar was not the same team that loss this past week to Pillow. They had a lot of players out with injuries that I think led to Pillow upsetting them. Once they are healthy, the matchup between them and Starkville most likely for district title will be a good one. Unless Leake knocks one of them off. Leake is having a great year thus far. Overall, AAA will be entertaining down the stretch and especially during the playoffs. There will be a lot of great matchups come playoff time with teams that normally don’t play each other facing off.
Leake has the smartest schedule: played 3 aaaa schools who were either severely injured or just plain bad. Great for power points! That said, they do have a tough dist with Hert and Stark. Are Hert's injuries serious? Was shocked they lost to pillow.
