I live in the Jacksonville, FL area and recently noticed my sago palm has begun yellowing. When I inspected the fronds, I saw what appears to be a black, slug-like insect (approx. 1/4"inch long) infesting the underside of the leaves. Another factor, this sago was pretty well-shaded until last year when the hurricanes took out several sheltering trees. It's now in full sun about 6 hours a day. Any thoughts as to the problem? Treatment?
