I have tried germinating before the cycas revoluta with no problem. This one is giving me a hard time. Can you help me please ? The bottom of the nut opened up with a tap root. I planted them and they got rotten. So I thought the medium is not drying fast enough. I tried again.
same scenario except I planted it this time in half perlite half Miracle gro. Nothing is happening. Am I being too impatient ? They are in my greenhouse, warm, cooler at night, shaded from the bright sun, in a pot set on pebbles covered with water. The seed/nut is on the top on the light medium (it still has its hard shell on). Should I cover it with a plastic ? Should the seed be more burried ? I had 10 seeds...I am down to 3 and I would love to do not loose these last ones :-)
