I have a sago palm going on about 8 years now. It is in a huge pot. I moved it from Texas to Colorado last September. After the journey and heading into the winter months I kept it in the house with plenty of sunlight. This Spring (2005) I put it outside. It gets early morning and afternoon sun- shade in the heat of the day. The leaves are dry/ brittle and brown on just parts of the leaves. I have had no new growth at all since the spring of (2004) in Texas. Also, I have now some yellow spots. (It recently hailed peas size- would that affect it?) The middle where the new leaves come out show signs of new growth (brown needle looking sprouts)trying to start but they are dry and brittle no new growth!!! Help!!! Should I replant this and bring it back into the house? I do not want to lose this once beautiful plant. One more question should I have this in the house during the winter months here in CO? I can send pics if you need to see them.
