I fertilized again a week or two after I posted this. My smallest one made a puny attempt at a flush, but not my big one. Maybe it will flush next year.

: LOL Well I'am glad it's just pissed
: off and not dead!
: I applied your fertilizer late
: April, probably way too early. We're
: hitting 90's now everyday that
: should warm her up! Thanks for your
: help!

: My sago hasn't flushed yet, but the
: pups have. It was pretty late last
: year flushing, with a low of 11f
: winter of 2010. Last winter lows of
: 11 and 13. and 100hrs. below
: freezing. Cant see any rot or
: damage. The trunk is 16" tall
: and has been in the ground for nine
: years. Is there any hope?
: Thanks very much!

: Excuse me for saying, but I think
: the plant is just pissed off because
: of the cold. The plant is not
: totally dead, or the offsets
: wouldn't have leaves on them either.
: If you feel around the apex, and it
: is just fine, as you said, it will
: just take some extra time to flush.
: Have you used a fertilizer like the
: one I mention ion my article to
: force it to flush? If not, that may
: be all it needs.
