King Sago....dead?

My sago hasn't flushed yet, but the pups have. It was pretty late last year flushing, with a low of 11f winter of 2010. Last winter lows of 11 and 13. and 100hrs. below freezing. Cant see any rot or damage. The trunk is 16" tall and has been in the ground for nine years. Is there any hope?
