We have recently become owners of a property that has a female Saga. Let me add that we have relocated to Texas from Maryland and are unfamiliar with the flora and fauna of Texas. The female plant I mentioned seems to have a cluster of seeds with a cone beneath it. If I am not interested in harvesting and propagating the seeds, can I safely prune out everything down to the cone to generate more fronds? Your help will be greatly appreciated in as much as I want to do no damage to this lovely plant. Thanks in advance.
