You should look at my website which is linked in the header. My hand pollination article shows you what the big ball is. What you have is a female plant and that is the reproductive "cone" If you pull some of those leaf looking things,(called sporaphylls)out a bit, you will see large orange things bigger than an inch, you have good seeds that were pollinated by insects. If all the ornage things are less than 3/4 of an inch, they are not good seeds and did not get pollinated. That will start you off. Check out all my articles online. If you remember everything I wrote, you will know more about cycads than 95% of all the people who grow cycads.
