Several of the leaves pushed up by my cycad seedlings have hardened off before they are fully unfolded. My assumption was that this is caused by high summer temperatures (>110° F) but there doesn't seem to be consistency even within seedlings of the same species. Would temperature be the most likely cause or might it be something else? I would appreciate your advice.
