Coontie leaves yellowing

I have about 500 coontie that I have germinated over the last three years and all of a sudden they all are getting yellow on the leaves starting from the stem outward to the middle of the leaf. What could be the problem. Some have actually died. I have read all the threads and could not find an earlier question addressing this coontie problem.
