: The broken Sago has finally produced
: some roots. I'm curious about this
: from the FAQ, in the part about
: rooting offsets:
:
: "Once the offsets are fully
: rooted you can plant them in your
: normal medium, and put them out in
: your growing area."
:
: The broken trunk is in a pot filled
: with sand. Do I need to switch it
: now to potting soil?
:
: Also, do I need to wait until the
: plant has a full root ball (filling
: up the pot) before I place it back
: in the yard?
:
: Thanks again! If pictures would
: help, I'll be glad to upload a few.

If it was me, I would wait till it has a good mass of roots. You could plant it now and would probably be alright, but if it only has a few roots and in the tansplant get broken in any way, you didn't do yourself a favor. Now that it has some roots, it will grow many more roots much faster, so it is worth the wait. It shouldn't take more than another few months now.
