As you would imagine, the salt tolerant palms and cycads would do well where there are some plants that don't tolerate the salt very well. Many inland species of cycads don't take to the salt very well and obviously coastal cycads should do just fine. You know really, if you make sure the salt water doesn't spill over too often you would probably be ok anyway, but as long as you don't plant the most picky species in that location, you should be just fine. Any pumila type zamia would be fine, Z furfuracea is coastal, Dioon eudle takes a lot of salt, just to name a few. On palms, I would be allagopteras would be perfect.
