Hi, I bought a small potted (7" clay} sago about a year ago from a local home improvement center. There are small stones glued tightly together on top of the soil (for looks, I imagine); water passes through. The "care" tag was missing and I had no idea at the time what I bought, but really loved it's look. I recently vacationed in Florida where I learned from friends that it's a sago. After having it for a few months, about 1/2 of the fronds (all lower) browned and dried up. I cut them off. I see no new growth coming at all, though the remaining fronds seem healthy and are nicely green. Can you give me any basics for caring for this plant? How much water, how often, what kind of light, is a liquid fertilizer like MiracleGro adequate, should it be repotted to encourage growth. It lives on Cape Cod and has remained an indoor plant since I got it. Thanks so much!
