People can do all kinds of things, but this is what I do for myself. I am wanting the longest root I can get becasue a long root to start out with will usually make a fster growing and nicer plant in the future. I will put all the seeds in a tray or container all close together. When I see a seed that sprouts, I pull it out right away and put them in a 10 inch deep by 10 inch wide container.(here in the US that is called a "3 gallon pot". Since every seed I put in that pot is sprouted already, I will space each new plant at the right spacing, which for me is close to a 2 inch spacing. That way, as the plants grow, they will not crowd each other and all stems can get to be 2 inches in diameter. Then about 2 years later, I can pull all those large seedlings and put them each in something like a 7 gallon container (12 inches X 12 inches)
