Hello Tom,
I enjoy a lot of personal dedication to cycads, I m from Brazil and my father and I are producing a lot of seedlings of Cyca revoluta and we also have Cyca revoluta seeds condiotioned in cold chamber. You can visit our web site www.cycasepalmeiras.com.br.
We are friends of Lou Randall and Roy Osborne, they've been helping us a lot.
But Tom we are having a kind of difficulty in our seedlings production, in a certain moment about 2 months after seed germination the seedling's leaves start getting yellow. For your better understand: we are running this production in a nursery, the substrate we are managing has + or - Ph 6.0 and tha Electrical condutivity about 0.9 for this parameter our target is about 1.0, we are doing fertilization like N-P-K = 24-7-8.
We send to University Botanical Lab some leaves to do analysis of leaf mass. If you want I can send to your mail some pictures, but you can have an ideia of our work here in our web site. Tom congratulations for your job, thanks very much.
