Yes, It didn't get really that cold. We almost never get snow, but fell this year, and almost never in my history here is las vegas, it didn't melt for four days. I have had the Deb's at lower temps with no problems before, But it seems that the 'snow' was an additional unusual factor that was just too much for the plants. I should note it was only 3 plants in a community field with lots of other species, and while the leaves burned, the plants are still o.k., and I expect no mortality, and should push new leaves in spring. And being only 3 plants, my obsevations should be discounted accordingly. But i felt it was worth mentioning, because it did seem unexpected.
